I had no idea Fenty Beauty would actually be stocked in my local Sephora, but I visited on the release date and sure enough it was. I knew for sure that I wanted the foundation, but everything else was up in the air. I’m number 350 in the Pro Filt’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, which is the shade for tan skin with neutral undertones. It took me at least fifteen minutes to choose one highlighter, because although they are all beautiful, I can’t justify purchasing the entire collection. I got the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo in Girl Next Door/Chic Freak, which is has soft peachy pink tones.
I don’t believe I have ever purchased a high-end liquid foundation, but I absolutely love this one. The wide shade range made it incredibly easy to color match in store. It has medium coverage, but it can be layered, which is a foundation quality that I prefer. It’s a matte finish, so it does not appear caky, but instead it has a very natural look. My go-to foundation is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless, and this foundation is very similar, so it’s definitely one that I could see myself repurchasing.
The Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo is a cream to powder formula that has a range of shades that complement different skin tones. Because I have a tan skin tone, Girl Next Door/Chic Freak worked best for me for a subtler, more natural glow.
